What? I didn't mean they shack up for a shag. I meant that since they're close pals that one friend helps out another. What the heck were you thinking I meant?

TFMF and QS are good people. Constantly bugging each other. Its never really clear if they are best friends or something else. Not my business, still, it's fun to tease them. Figuratively, watched them both grow up here at NS. Kind of like younger cousins you hear about at family reunions. You care about them without really knowing them.

social stigmas (US/UK) for shacking up (romantically) or just sharing an apartment (buddies?), varies, depending on the people and areas. as always.
